Living things

Living things. 4º Primaria. Science.


This unit corresponds to the first fortnight of the first term. It has an estimated duration of 15 days

Objectives:

·         To associate the activity of living things with the performance of three life processes: nutrition, sensitivityand reproduction.
·         To distinguish viruses from living things.
·         To recognise cells as the simplest living entities, capable of performing the functions of sensitivity, reproduction and nutrition.
·         To differentiate among the different types of cells, as well as their basic components.
·         To understand the hierarchical structure of multicellular living things in terms of cells, tissues, organs and systems.
·         To know a simplified classification of living things.
·         To know how to explain what the functions of nutrition, sensitivity and reproduction are.


1.   Actividades.

·        Dibujar una célula y diferenciar en ella las partes más importantes.
·        Utilizar un mural para comprender y estudiar este sistema de clasificación. Dividir la clase en cuatro grupos. Cada uno aportará dibujos y fotografías de los distintos reinos.
·        Escuchar una pista de audio en L2, donde se expliquen las diferencias entre reinos. Utilizando el vocabulario de la unidad.
·        Usamos Flashcards donde marcamos si son seres vivos o no.
·        Visionado de un video donde se explica las funciones de las células.

  1. I think it is a good unit. Maybe it is quite basic but it is a good starting point.
